Do you want to be a part of the Women's Chorus?  Go here to find out more, we'd love for you to join us!

About Us

The Texas A&M University Women's Chorus was founded in 1979 by Patricia P. Fleitas, and consists of approximately 80 women who have achieved membership through a vocal audition and personal interview.

Although considered an extracurricular activity, the chorus rehearses an average of five hours a week. These women take pride in themselves and their organization as they represent Texas A&M across Texas, the nation, and abroad.

What We Do

The Women's Chorus strives to promote excellence in the fine arts, to encourage cultural expansion at Texas A&M, to provide entertainment for the campus community, and to enhance the perception of its ensemble at all levels.

The choir travels throughout Texas, beyond our state borders and internationally, singing a varied repertoire of sacred and secular classical selections, pop music, and Broadway show tunes. Each year, the choir participates in the Texas Collegiate Women's Choral Festival, held on various Texas campuses. This October, the Women's Chorus hosted the Festival's 25th Anniversary concert.

Our Colleagues

Texas A&M also has other groups in its Choral Activities Office, which include the Singing Cadets - an all-male group, the Century Singers - a mixed choir, and the Reveilliers - a vocal jazz ensemble.
